Fractal Words

Open the window of your soul

and let that spirit soar

far away from all that is cold.

No need to let your worry in.

For that fractal riddle

we shall solve again.

But know it to be true

that the fruits of old

will ripen soon

spoken bold my friend

even amongst this hazy wind.

So slow did the candle flicker

and the light

it did fall dark

but came a piece of flint

and with its spark

away that darkness went.

A poem here and there

it is true

spreads the soul aware.

Words spun like spindrifts

it’s my spirit that they lift.

Spoken gentle and oh so soft

like an edge of driftwood

drifted from my parted sea

deep and free

for they will always wash

still and silent upon the shore of me.

These poems shall take their root

derived so slow

yet ever-growing.

And again like again

I start to see

My senses turn to flowing.

Then came something so divine

in the drift of a dream

and it is a word

maybe even three

that left a drifted soul

Warmed and forever glowing.

What a production we put on.  Enjoy everybody.  I love it when they play happy.

My roots are buried in the Dirty South. I grew up learning the importance of God and Southern Charm. I began writing in my late teens mostly through heartbreak and music. I moved out west 15 years ago and live right around the corner from the Fountain Of Youth. Most people refer to it as Lake Tahoe. I play Chef during the day and search for ways to save the world by night, through reading, writing, and believing. I enjoy the side of life that is less abrasive. I look forward to joining you on my quest through Spiritual Sobriety with the Promised Land as our ultimate destination.
