Why should we be scared, terrified to fall?  Instead let us be aware of the need to stay grounded.  With our feet on solid ground we find the stability to keep our creative pulse pounding, even when the exterior elements that expound with antipathy all around us seem hellbent on keeping us down. Let us run with the wind of freedom at our back when our feet hit the ground.

We are fallen creatures. If we fell with the virtue of freedom inherent in us from the origin of our being, wouldn’t this alone prove that our existence is lofted, and that we are all free spirited beings?  It is in our awareness of original sin that we are both chastened and illustrious.  The parable of the Fall should not disgrace us; instead it should exalt us above oblivious heights. I have said before that we have already fallen from dizzied heights and there is no reason why we should not be able to climb back up to those same heights.

Just because we carry the idea of sin within us and we live in a fallen world, we are condemned to move back and forth between the natures of good and evil.  Our process of thought shall always be riddled with insoluble contradictions.  This is more evident upon today than ever before.

This is why, at the point where I am in my life, I feel compelled to stay settled upon the foundation of who I am.  Much like a tree, I must stay grounded.  I must reconnect with my roots while growing and shedding new leaves.  I will bend before I break, so that I may continue to grow.

For the first time in my existence, I feel something mighty moving through me.  Its presence is deeply spiritual and it shows no signs of looking back.  The momentum alone is starting to move with acceleration towards the harmony of heaven, to the edge of my existence. The echo of God is beginning to beat with enthusiastic swiftness in the chambers of my heart.  I feel like there is some sort of feedback ringing within my ears from Heaven’s microphone when I pray nowadays.  I guess that is what one gets when they allow God into the creative space of their heart.

I am starting to see that in this life we can create our own little slice of heaven.  It’s written in our souls, as well as the stars and has been since our Creation.  Before we can ever achieve this, we must first get away from our selves and the past that litters our perception with false fear.  If we are indeed created in God’s image then why shouldn’t we be capable of creating our own Heaven without any sign of Hell?

When the fiend of fear keeps soliciting you to look at your past.  There has to be something upright in your future that your ego doesn’t want you to see.  Maybe it is what will flatten its fiendish existence altogether.  I am starting to see that the ego is of the false self, and the soul is of the real self.  It is true that a man will begin to realize this in his later years when his spirit starts to awaken.  It is in the realm of possibility, that the soul is divine and the ego is nothing more than the devil.  The ego with its false personality will always waste away when the authentic self awakens to fulfill its true purpose.

Our souls are smeared with the brilliant paintbrush of God, as he decorated us divine.  It is through our relationship with Him that we start to see that we are here to help Him finish the work of the Cross—which exists in each and every one of us.  The insight of this beauty will always dance with the awareness of all that we are meant to be in the shadows of synchronicity.

To pursue illumination is the ultimate struggle of the soul.  But to breathe the Holy Breath before we find death is all that this life is concerned about in between its celestial existence.  When the light of this truth illuminates it’s own self, you start to see how much you have learned.  You see that He is laying a path for the delightful discoveries that wait with open arms for you ahead.

Each day you grow closer to your correlation with God, the vibration only becomes more profound, causing divinity to become keener than ever.  This experience alone is passed the extreme of intoxicating, so it must be encouraged to remain grounded to the foundation of your earthly self.

Your soul will try and push the limits of your spiritual existence, but it is imperative that you allow your physical form its time on this earth to create better days for those you leave behind.  To sip from the nectar of God becomes addictive like everything else and it should be reserved for judicious occasions.  One must remain grounded and level headed.  Stay balanced and absorbed by all that you do not know, until the time comes that you do know and it is decided that you shall be used as an instrument of His will.

As I push aside this eternal brush in the thickness of this wilderness, a tapered path shows itself.  It isn’t tattered or torn—instead it is less traveled—delicate and divine.  The light grows closer.  I see it in the stars, which are now parading their light above in the midst of day, and beyond the splendor of an afternoon sun.  As my thoughts are left stunned by the presence of a new illumination, a novel consciousness speaks silent through me, leaving me with an innovative persona of disposition.  I see traces of light in every direction I look—my soul no longer shook by the heaviness of life.

My roots are buried in the Dirty South. I grew up learning the importance of God and Southern Charm. I began writing in my late teens mostly through heartbreak and music. I moved out west 15 years ago and live right around the corner from the Fountain Of Youth. Most people refer to it as Lake Tahoe. I play Chef during the day and search for ways to save the world by night, through reading, writing, and believing. I enjoy the side of life that is less abrasive. I look forward to joining you on my quest through Spiritual Sobriety with the Promised Land as our ultimate destination.
