One day we will meet
At the end of that one way street.
For now take a seat
Relax those feet
Go on get some rest.
Before this day is undressed
By tonight’s nurtured nest
Where comfort is expressed.
Do you have any needs
While I plant the seeds
And pull the weeds
From this garden of good deeds.
I’ll be right over here
Serenading Shakespeare
Through a distant whisper in your ear
That will never disappear.
Time for a new endeavor
Something a bit more clever
Between your never
And my forever.
The pounding in your chest
Might be me giving it my best.
While time is no longer pressed
Even as the sun sets to the west.
In the choir of an angel singing
With a confidence casually brimming.
Hold on to the hope that is spinning
Where the fear of death is waning
When hate went the way of forgiving
And greed turned to giving
Well my friend
That was the day life embraced loving
And the dream took to living.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you soon.

My roots are buried in the Dirty South. I grew up learning the importance of God and Southern Charm. I began writing in my late teens mostly through heartbreak and music. I moved out west 15 years ago and live right around the corner from the Fountain Of Youth. Most people refer to it as Lake Tahoe. I play Chef during the day and search for ways to save the world by night, through reading, writing, and believing. I enjoy the side of life that is less abrasive. I look forward to joining you on my quest through Spiritual Sobriety with the Promised Land as our ultimate destination.
