Stuck in between a decorated dream.
It’s time to paint a brand new theme
Interpret it however you wish.
But remember these words
While I go down to the river to fish.

Hold your happy close to your heart.
Misplace the melancholic misery
That leaves your loneliness misunderstood.
Forward momentum grins flamboyant
Beneath a better day.
Cuddle up with the compassion
That breathes in your beauty.
Embrace empathy in everyone you meet.
Show them your smile and give it awhile
Or take them by the hand whether or not
It was part of the plan.
Build the plot, take your shot.
While I bury the guilt amongst the beans I spilt.
I’ll spill them again as soon as find my pen.
Let the truth in sadness borrow your sorrow.
Tell it to keep it, you no longer need it.
A foundation of absolute love
Is being rebuilt over the two-faced trust
That quickly turned to rust.
It is time to stand up and fight.
For our god given right.
Feel the faith from deep within
The beat of your heart that bounces off the chart.
This has no beginning and was never meant to end.
It’s time for you to show the world
The beauty behind the mask, colored in pearl.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you all soon.

My roots are buried in the Dirty South. I grew up learning the importance of God and Southern Charm. I began writing in my late teens mostly through heartbreak and music. I moved out west 15 years ago and live right around the corner from the Fountain Of Youth. Most people refer to it as Lake Tahoe. I play Chef during the day and search for ways to save the world by night, through reading, writing, and believing. I enjoy the side of life that is less abrasive. I look forward to joining you on my quest through Spiritual Sobriety with the Promised Land as our ultimate destination.
